Samsung’s bi-annual Unpacked event is just hours away from kicking off, but as these things typically go, marketing materials of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 made their way past the Korean brand’s security and out onto the internet. The marketing materials, along with some images of the device, were posted on the social media platform, Bluesky, by prominent leakster Roland Quandt.
The leaked materials of the Z Fold7 is, by the way, in addition to the specs of the Z Fold7, Flip7, and Flip7 FE, which were also leaked earlier in the week. As with all marketing materials, it basically speaks the world of the foldable and its nature. That includes its thinner form factor of 4.2mm when completely unfolded, as well as the new 6.5-inch cover screen and 8-inch main display.

The marketing materials also suggest that the Z Fold7 will be lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at 215g or, as per the copy, less than a large bar of chocolate. Moving on to the camera, Samsung appears to have upgraded it, bumping up the main sensor from 50MP to a 200MP with 2x Optical Zoom functionality. Meanwhile, it retains the 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto with 3x Optical Zoom.
Bringing the Z Fold7 in line with the rest of its flagships, the foldable is now powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, while the battery capacity still remains the same at 4,400mAh. Naturally, AI is now included with the Z Fold7, and yes, that means the inclusion of Google’s Gemini that gives you a personalised briefing should you want it, as well as the benefit of seeing your edited photos, pre and post-edit, side by side.

What is interesting to note is that throughout it all, there is no mention of S Pen support on the Z Fold7. Prior generations of the Z Fold Series, with the exception of the Special Edition, supported the stylus, even if it had to be purchased separately and stowed away in its special casing. Of course, this issue is just speculation at this point and at this point, it’s unlikely that that the accessory will be going the way of the Dodo.
On a side note, Quandt also posted leaked marketing materials for the new Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 8 series. The former now reportedly comes with double the internal storage capacity of the current generation at 64GB, but still retains up to 100 hours of battery life when in power-saving mode, as well as the 1.5-inch AMOLED display.

Again, Samsung’s Unpacked event is just hours away, so if all the alleged details we’ve just seen rings true, we’ll hear about it later tonight.
