Microsoft launched the smaller 12-Inch Surface Pro and the 13-inch Surface Laptop internationally back in May. Now, two months later, both are available for per-order in Malaysia, with general availability happening later in the month.
If you need a refresher though, both models are being launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chipset, and 16GB of RAM. Individually, the Surface Pro has a 12-inch LCD screen with a 2,196 x 1,464 resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. You get two USB-C 3.2 ports which handles the 45W charging for the battery, though its capacity was not specified. All we’re getting is Microsoft previously claiming up to 12 hours of “active web usage” or up to 16 hours of “local video playback”.

As for the Microsoft Surface Laptop, the screen here is a 1,920 x 1,280 60Hz touch display, an additional USB-A 3.1 port and 3.5mm audio jack in addition to the two USB-C 3.2. Once again, battery capacity is not stated, but the company claims a use time of up to 16 hours of active web usage and up to 23 hours of local video playback, with charging rated at 60W.
Both the Microsoft Surface Pro 12-inch and the Surface Laptop 13-Inch come in two storage choices, which are 256GB and 512GB. For the former, this means prices of RM3,999 and RM4,399 respectively. The latter gets price tags RM4,488 and RM4,888 respectively. While pre-orders start today, they will be more generally available from 22 July onwards.

Get them during the pre-order period though, and the Microsoft Pro 12 Inch will get the new Surface Pro Keyboard that’s compatible with its size thrown in for free. As for the Surface Laptop 13-inch, it gets the Surface Arc Mouse instead.
