Proton has rolled out a series of updates for the eMAS 7 electric vehicle, introducing new exterior and interior colour options alongside several tech enhancements. All of which, according to the automaker, are developed in response to customer feedback.
Starting with the exterior, the eMAS 7 is now offered in a new Obsidian Black finish, giving the EV a noticeably more assertive and sportier appearance. This colour is available across both variants of the model.
Inside, the cabin receives a visual refresh with a new Alabaster White interior option. However, this is currently limited to just 250 units and only available for the Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green Premium variants. PRO-NET Chief Marketing Officer Salawati Mohd Yusoff noted that the company may consider making the new interior colour a permanent offering if customer demand proves strong.
On the tech front, Apple CarPlay has finally been added to the eMAS 7, available in both wired and wireless formats. A refreshed over-the-air update now allows the vehicle to retain the last-used settings, improving user convenience. Android Auto, however, won’t be available until the end of the year. The EV also now runs on the Flyme Auto operating system, promising better responsiveness, smoother system integration, and wider third-party app support. This includes apps like Zoom for Cars, izi.TRAVEL, and the Vivaldi Browser.
Further personalisation options have also been introduced through enhancements to the low-speed pedestrian warning system. In addition to the existing Classical tone, drivers can now choose from two new sound profiles—Galactic Note and Space Walk. The selected sound is saved and automatically reactivated each time the vehicle is started, allowing for a more tailored user experience in different driving environments.
Finally, the automaker has also introduced a new Power Pack+ sales package, which comes with a free 7kW home charger worth RM1,500, a complimentary V2L adaptor worth RM500, five years of unlimited internet data worth RM1,800, and a six-year unlimited mileage warranty for the vehicle, plus an eight-year/160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery. It also includes trade-in options worth RM5,000.
