Casio has confirmed the pre-order availability for its forthcoming G-Shock GA-V01 collection for the Malaysian market. As you may recall, the company initially teased the line-up’s arrival back in March this year via an exclusive media preview which we attended.

To recap, the new G-SHOCK GA-V01 first debuted in China in February, introducing an all-new design unique to its line-up. Designed by Hong Kong-based Tomohiro Hamaue, the watch’s look draws inspiration from the classic DW-9000 model but pushes boundaries with a bold visual overhaul. As described by Casio, it features a magnetic “Shock Release Hand” system, a high-impact integrated bezel and band, and “an ultra-modern dial influenced by futuristic Y3K aesthetics.”

One of the GA-V01’s signature elements is its 3D hour markers, which appear to float outside the display glass – creating the illusion that they’re part of the bezel. This effect, combined with the curved spherical glass and pronounced case shape, enhances both visual impact and shock resistance. Another highlight is the indicator and LCD display section of the watch, which Casio China dubs as “CoolEyes”.

In terms of functionality, the G-Shock GA-V01 offers the brand’s hallmark shock resistance, 200-metre water resistance, and is powered by a CR2025 battery with a ten-year lifespan. It includes a dual LED light, world time for 48 cities, five daily alarms, a stopwatch, countdown timer, and more. The watch also supports wrist sizes between 145 and 215mm and comes in four colour options: black, purple, lime green, and silver.

Pre-orders for the new Casio G-Shock GA-V01 in Malaysia starts today, exclusively via Crossover Malaysia’s website and its official store at The Exchange TRX. It is priced at RM679, and is also expected to be available in-stores at G-Shock outlets nationwide from 13 July 2025 onwards.
