LG announced its Rent-Up service last year, which I described as a time as more of an instalment payment plan more than actually a rental service for the company’s home appliances. It looks like it’s been a common point of confusion for consumers, as the company has decided to give the service a name change. Now, it’s called LG Subscribe.
The new name is arguably a more straightforward one, and the company itself admits that the name change is in response to customer feedback. In its press release, the company says that “many were uncertain if the term ‘rent’ implied temporary use or a path to ownership”.
As part of the rebranding, the company says that the service now offers a line-up of 10 product lines, so one more than when the service was new. On that note, the brand has also launched the LG PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier. It does everything you expect a water purifier to do, but with the main component hidden under the sink, all that is visible on the outside is the tap, which may be a plus point for those with a specific look in mind for their kitchen.
You can find out more about the LG PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier by visiting its official product page, linked here. As for the LG Subscribe service, beyond the name change and one product line being added to the service, it is essentially unchanged from its Rent-Up days. But if you need a refresher, you can learn more by heading to its new dedicated page, linked here.
