Infinix has officially launched the AI Buds, which as the name suggests, are a pair of wireless earbuds with AI-powered capabilities. The product was actually announced last month during the local launch of the company’s Note 50 lineup.
The highlight of the AI Buds is the real-time translation feature, which is powered by the company’s proprietary CogLabs AI engine. The buds support 162 languages, and come with different modes such as Conversation Translation for face-to-face interactions, and Real-Time Interpretation for simultaneous translation of speeches and audio. Additionally, there is a speech-to-text transcription function that allows the user to record meetings.
Of course, as with all AI-powered gadgets, the buds include a smart voice assistant. The AI assistant, known as Folax, allows the user to perform tasks like changing tracks, checking the weather, or activating the translation feature.
Aside from that, the earbuds come with ANC and boast a long battery life. According to the company, the buds offer roughly 25 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC turned on, and up to 36 hours with the feature turned off. Moreover, the charging case features an interactive touchscreen that displays the battery level and time, in addition to allowing the user to manage controls like volume and playback.
The AI Buds come in colour options of White and Grey, and are available for purchase for RM399. The earbuds can be acquired at Infinix outlets nationwide, as well as the brand’s official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
