Samsung is reportedly working on the successor of this year’s Galaxy A56 model, the A57. A machine translated report by Dutch news site Galaxy Club alleges that the phone will come equipped with Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 1680 chip. The SoC is apparently currently being tested under the model number S5E8865, codenamed Terra.

As per the report, the Exynos 1680 will power the Samsung Galaxy A57, citing the other A50 series models which have been using the brand’s Exynos chipset since the A53 5G. The upcoming chip is also stated to use the XClipse 550 GPU, which is based on AMD’s architecture.

Galaxy Club claims that Samsung could release its Galaxy A57, bearing the Exynos 1680, in March 2026 at the earliest. In comparison, the A56 launched in March this year with an Exynos 1580 chipset. The mid-range phone also comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

As this report remains a speculation, we will have to wait for an official confirmation to verify the specs of the Galaxy A57. In related news to Samsung, the brand might be releasing its Galaxy Buds Core soon, having been reportedly spotted in the US FCC listing. There is a chance it may receive a July launch, alongside the brand’s upcoming foldable phones.
