As leaked earlier this month, Google has introduced two new paid subscription tiers for its AI features called AI Pro and AI Ultra. The former is available now while the latter is limited to the US but will be rolling out to other countries soon.
Priced above the regular Google One subscription plans, the AI Pro tier costs RM97.99/month, but you can get a free one-month trial. The package includes access to the Gemini app powered by the 2.5 Pro model as well as video generation using Veo 2, which comes with higher limits for image-to-video creation.
Subscribers also get access to NotebookLM, which is a research and writing AI assistant. For productivity, you get the Gemini AI assistant integrated into Google apps such as Gmail and Docs, along with 2TB of cloud storage. Moreover, it does include access to the new Flow video editor app and Gemini in Chrome, but these are currently limited to US users.
Meanwhile, the AI Ultra tier costs a whopping RM1,229.90/month, but you can also opt for a three-month subscription at RM614.90/month. With this plan, you get everything in Pro as well as access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Deep Think, Veo 3, and higher limits for video creation, NotebookLM, and Gemini in Google apps.
AI Ultra users can also get early access to Project Mariner and a total of 30TB of cloud storage. As the cherry on top, the plan comes with a YouTube Premium individual plan, which currently costs RM21.90/month on its own.
