Samsung unveiled its AI TV lineup for the year, with a few soundbars to go with them. But while the new range of smart TVs were the the highlight, arguably more important was the Vision AI tech that came with it. And it’s a feature with a wide range of functionality, from AI upscaling to removing ghosting from moving objects on screen.
Most of these we’ve seen the brand demonstrate previously. But today the company also showcased Universal Gestures, allowing you to use gesture controls while you are wearing a Samsung Galaxy Watch7 in lieu of a conventional remote.
As for the TVs themselves, one of the stars of today’s launch was the Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV series, which first unveiled earlier in the month. Most of what we’ve reported on at the time is unchanged, except that the only available sizes are 75 and 85 inches. For the QN990F, these are priced at RM31,999 and RM44,999 respectively, And for the QN900F, it’s RM22,999 and RM29,999 respectively instead.
Beyond the 8K specific models, Samsung is also extending Vision AI to other Neo QLED, QLED and OLED models. That being said, only the Neo QLED 8K models get the latest NQ8 Gen3 AI processor, while the other models get either the NQ4 Gen3 or lower. As with the Neo QLED 8K models though, all of these are only open for pre-order, which lasts until 1 June. In the meantime, you can also visit the Samsung 2025 AI TV Roadshow, which is currently at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre until 25 May to see these TVs for yourself.
Making an appearance during the event are four of the Samsung Q-series soundbars. They are the HW-Q990F which costs RM5,899, the HW-Q930F which costs RM4,499, the HW-Q800F which costs RM3,599 and the HW-QS700 which costs RM2,699. All of them feature 50% smaller subwoofers than before while maintaining their audio output. Like the TVs, they are also only for pre-order until 1 June, and will be available after.
