HONOR will apparently be releasing its Magic V5, as reported by leakster @ZionsAnvin via X. As per his post, the phone has received a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification in China under the model number MBH-AN10, as well as a China Compulsory Certification (3C). The phone’s listings indicate a battery with a rated value of 5,950mAh.
The battery packed in the HONOR Magic V5 is reported to have two cells, one with a 2,070mAh capacity, and the other with 3,880mAh, bringing the rated value up to 5,950mAh. It is said to have support for 66W charging. This will be an upgrade from last year’s Magic V3, which came with a battery capacity of 5,150mAh.
The certification also states that the phone will support 5G connectivity, and have dual SIM support. Considering the HONOR Magic V3 was launched in Malaysia in September last year, while its predecessor was made available to us earlier that year, it is highly likely the Magic V5 will have a Malaysian release sometime in the following months. Though no official statement has been made by the company itself.
As mentioned, the HONOR Magic V3 precedes the upcoming V5, with many Chinese phones skipping the number 4 in the series. The Magic V3 has a 6.43-inch OLED cover, while the main display is a 7.92-inch LTPO AMOLED panel. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with a triple camera setup at its back. It comes with 12GB of RAM with a base storage of 256GB.
