Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has launched its upgraded Air Selangor 2.0 app, which will enable users to report pipe leakages. This was announced by the company’s chief executive officer, Adam Saffian Ghazali, who states that the new app feature can be used by the 9.62 million water consumers across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya.
According to Ghazali, the new app now has a ‘Report Leaks’ feature, which allows users to report leaking or burst pipes, faulty meters, and illegal connections in real time. He states that the upgrades made to the app aims to “reduce the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) rate and ensure more efficient water management”.

The app also has a water usage monitoring feature as well, which lets users access and manage their daily water consumption through the Litres per Capita per Day (LCD) indicator. Ghazali said that users can compare their own water consumption against the benchmark recommended by the National Water Services Commission, which is stated to be 160 litres per day. App users will also reportedly receive water-saving tips that are tailored to their household profile.
Ghazali says that the Air Selangor 2.0 app was unveiled during the MADANI Smart Water Campaign, which was launched by the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
