There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, but a recent official but accidental leak saw its price revealed for the Canadian market. Something similar may have happened again, this time revealing that the South Korean tech giant’s razor thin phone may use a new type of glass that’s not officially revealed yet.
This comes courtesy of serial leakster @evleaks, which looks like snippets from either an official press release or marketing material for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. It confirms a 200MP main camera, with a claim of “all-day” battery life though rumours previously pointed to it having a 3,900 mAh battery. Other items on the spec sheet include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and One UI 7.
But most notably, the phone is noted to have a “titanium bezel” and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The reason this is notable is because the first Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic was announced merely a month ago, and phones using the new material have not even hit the market yet. Ars Technica previously reported that Motorola will be the first to use it, and this presumably means the Razr that’s coming out next month. So for a new iteration of the new glass material to appear so soon, it’s a tad unusual to say the least.
Circling back to the titanium bezel, this probably means the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a titanium frame, which isn’t all that unusual. The brand has been using some variation of the metal in alloy form since the S24 Ultra. The phone is also rumoured to being announced in a May Unpacked event, so that’s probably when the company will confirm or deny these leaks.
