ZTE’s Nubia sub-brand has officially launched a new flagship called the Z70S Ultra. A refresh of its current flagship, the “S” moniker sees the company cramming in an even larger battery as well as a bigger camera sensor.
Just like the regular version, the Z70S Ultra sports a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 2,000 nits, but with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i instead of Longxi glass for durability. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

On the optics front, it gets a larger 1/1.3″ 50MP primary sensor with OIS alongside a 64MP periscope lens with 2.7x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP under-display selfie snapper. Powering it is a hefty 6,600mAh battery with support for 80W charging while for dust and water resistance, it gets an IP69 rating.

The Nubia Z70S Ultra starts from CNY4,600 (~RM2,738) for the base 12GB+256GB configuration, maxing out at 24GB+1TB for CNY6,300 (~RM3,750). While it is unknown when the new flagship will be available in Malaysia, the brand is planning on introducing a global version on 13 May, so stay tuned for more details.
