Tune Talk has launched the Dum Dum Data SIM, a travel SIM that requires no registration for inbound travellers to Malaysia. According to the telco, the plug-and-play travel SIM is the first of its kind in Malaysia and provides an affordable way for short-term travellers to remain connected upon arrival in the country.
Travellers can choose between two data plans, the Dum Dum Lite, and the Dum Dum Pro. The former is priced at RM12 and offers 15 days of 20GB full speed internet, with shared hotspot allocation. The Dum Dum Pro plan costs RM20 and is valid for 15 days, during which users will have access to 40GB full speed internet including hotspot.

The Dum Dum Data SIM is available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 1 & Terminal 2), Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and Penang International Airport. As there is no registration required, the SIM can be directly used upon purchase. The user only needs to insert the SIM into their device and enable mobile data.
Tune Talk Head of Traveller Mary Lee stated that the travel SIM was created for modern travellers who want convenience, speed, and value. Meanwhile, its Executive Director and CEO Gurtaj Singh Padda added that the product’s introduction is a bold step for the telco, and is the first of many that are expected to come.
