The latest Nubia budget gaming lineup has finally arrived in Malaysia. Today, ZTE Malaysia showcased the Nubia Neo 3 series, which includes the Nubia Neo 3 5G and the Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G.
The base model features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2392px resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It also has RGB lighting on its back, capacitive shoulder triggers, stereo dual speakers, as well as an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
Under the hood, the Neo 3 is equipped with a Unisoc T8300 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM (with up to 12GB of dynamic RAM support) and 256GB of storage. It’s powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 33W charging and bypass charging. As for optics, the Neo 3 sports a 50MP dual rear camera. For the selfie enthusiasts, the device comes with a 16MP front camera.
Compared to its vanilla counterpart, the Nubia Neo 3 GT comes with better capabilities. While it sports a similarly sized 6.8-inch OLED display with the same 1080 x 2392px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the GT version has a higher peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Just like the regular Neo 3, this variant also comes with RGB lighting on the back, shoulder triggers, stereo dual speakers, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
As for internals, the Neo 3 GT packs a stronger chipset, the Unisoc T9100. It also has 12GB of RAM (also with 12GB of dynamic RAM support) and 256GB of storage. Its 6,000mAh battery also supports 80W charging as well as bypass charging. Another notable aspect is the inclusion of vapour chambers for better cooling.
Both phones come with Android 15 via Nubia’s MyOS 15 interface, as well as AI Game Space 3.0 and an AI gaming companion. According to ZTE, the phones will receive two years support for security and software respectively.
The gaming smartphones are priced at RM999 for the regular Neo 3, and RM1,199 for the Neo 3 GT. Additionally, customers purchasing from Nubia’s Shopee store are entitled to receive a gift box set which includes a magnetic phone case and a magnetic cooler, while stocks last.
