Local custom PC maker Illegear has announced two new additions to its Vulcan gaming laptop range: the Vulcan 16 and the Vulcan 16 Xtreme. Both models feature Intel Core Ultra processors, NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards, and Mini-LED displays. For 2025, The company says it has redesigned the Vulcan models to reflect a higher level of performance and attention to detail, incorporating the latest RTX 50 series GPUs.
Both laptops are fitted with 16-inch 2.5K Mini-LED displays, offering a 300Hz refresh rate, up to 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 1200 nits peak brightness. These panels promise high clarity, fast response and vibrant colour accuracy, catering to competitive gaming and content creation needs.
The new Vulcan 16 series also include precision-tuned N-Key Rollover keyboards with per-key RGB lighting, providing reliable input during high-speed gameplay alongside full customisation options. For audio, Nahimic technology powers the onboard speakers for immersive sound.
The Vulcan 16 Xtreme further differentiates itself with a high-precision glass touchpad, designed for smooth, responsive navigation, adding an extra layer of premium usability. Both models come equipped with a full suite of connectivity options, including USB, HDMI, Type-C, Ethernet, a card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Performance is driven by Intel Core Ultra processors, built to handle heavy multitasking and intensive workloads. Graphics options include the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 5080, and 5090. Meanwhile, battery capacity is rated at 99Wh, promising extended usage times without frequent recharging.
Illegear adds that cooling on both laptops is managed through a newly designed triple-fan system with inbound airflow architecture, which ensures stable operation even during demanding sessions. The XTREME variant offers enhanced thermal management and can be paired with the brand’s own FLOW external water-cooling module for even greater performance under load.

The Illegear Vulcan 16 starts from RM8,999, while the XTREME model starts from RM12,999. Both models are available for pre-order now, with deliveries expected by the end of April.
