Huawei has announced a new pair of mid-range wireless earbuds dubbed the Freebuds 6. The first successor from the lineup in almost two years, the buds retain the unique water-drop shape from the Freebuds 5 along with the hard ear tips.
The Freebuds 6 comes with a lighter design along with two sound units, namely an 11mm dynamic driver and a micro-flat tweeter in each bud. With its semi-open design, it offers active noise cancellation with a reduction up to an impressive 95dB, along with bone conduction microphones for clearer phone calls.
As for the battery life, a single charge lasts 5.5 hours without ANC and four hours with ANC, while the charging case provides a total of 32 hours. Other features of the earbuds include adaptive volume, head-movement gestures, and real-time AI translation with support for 21 languages. Additionally, it supports multi-device connectivity and head tracking spatial audio, although the latter only works when connected with compatible Huawei devices.
The Freebuds 6 comes in white, black, and purple colour options and retails with a price tag of CNY999 (~RM610). While the company has not announced a launch date for Malaysia yet, the earbuds have already been listed on the SIRIM database, so we can expect it to be released here soon.
