OPPO Malaysia’s website now has a special page for its upcoming A5 Pro smartphone. Hints of its arrival were first discovered via a listing in SIRIM’s database, which we reported earlier in January this year.
No exact date for the local launch was given, and there’s little to go on in terms of specifications. However, OPPO has revealed that the A5 Pro will feature up to IP69 water and dust resistance, as well as “military-grade” shock resistance.
Details via OPPO Bangladesh’s website reveals that the A5 Pro is an entry-level device, featuring a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Its display size is 6.7-inches, with 720 x 1604px resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 1000nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Other highlights include a 5,800mAh battery with 45W fast charging support via USB-C, a fingerprint scanner, and ColorOS 15. Meanwhile, the A5 Pro’s imaging system consists of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP monochrome lens on its back, along with an 8MP selfie camera housed within a punch-hole cutout on its display.

Do note that the A5 Pro’s specifications may vary when it arrives in Malaysia. Unfortunately, there’s no way to confirm this yet, so we’ll have to wait for the official launch to find out.
