It’s already been confirmed that the Honda E:N1 will be the Japanese automotive brand’s first EV arriving in Malaysia this year. During a recent media gathering, though, the company confirmed that that would be the first of three EV models it plans on bringing into the country.

Honda says that its goal is to roll out three EVs over a period of three years, starting with the E:N1 this year and the other two models consecutively in 2026 and 2027. Beyond that, the company did not provide any further details.

The E:N1 first broke cover at last year’s Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2024). The vehicle will be Honda’s first EV to enter our market and marks the company’s move towards electrification. Specs-wise, it’s powered by a front-mounted electric motor delivering 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels. This enables the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h.

A 68.8 kWh battery powers the e:N1, offering a driving range of up to 412 km on the WLTP standard (500 km under NEDC). Charging is efficient, with support for 78 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in 45 minutes. Alternatively, 11 kW AC charging takes six hours for a full recharge.
