The Keychron Q1 HE is a custom wireless keyboard that has been around for a year now, being especially notable for featuring Hall Effect magnetic switches. Now, the company is finally making it available for the local market, in all of its 75% glory.
For those who are unaware of what makes Hall Effect keyboard switches special, this is mainly to do with its analogue input capabilities, much like the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog and its Mini variant. Then you have the longevity and customisable actuation just like the tech being used in controllers.
As for the Keychon Q1 HE specifically, all the customisation can be done via its web app. And all of its benefits are available either with good old fashioned cables, or wirelessly via Bluetooth or the 2.4GHz dongle that supports up to 1,000Hz polling rate. The keyboard itself uses a 75% layout on top of a 6063 aluminium plate. It technically supports hotswapping of switches, but only with its own specific Gateron Double-Rail magnetic switches.
Of course, for all that it offers, the Keychron Q1 HE doesn’t exactly come cheap, as it has a starting price of RM999. You get a choice of Carbon Black or Shell White for its aluminium body, available via its own official site or its official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
