Late last year, we saw the unveiling of the Casio CRW-001-1JR, which is best described as a watch ring. At the time, it was only listed on the brand’s Japanese website, with a December release date. Now, the watch ring has appeared on the company’s official Malaysian site, complete with a price tag.
The watch ring is listed as the Casio CRW-001-1, but while it lacks the JR suffix it looks to be the exact same model otherwise. To reiterate though, it’s got an inner diameter of 20mm, fitting a size 22 (US 10.5 EU U) finger. It will have two size adjusting spacers to reduce this down to 19mm and 18mm, or sizes 19 and 16 respectively.
Despite the size, and the barely one-inch screen, it still features a seven-segment LCD that shows two times and the date, as well as a stopwatch built in. Combined with three buttons and it’s essentially the same watch by the brand that you’d wear on your wrist, but about 10 times smaller.
Getting back to its price, the official Malaysia website lists the Casio CRW-001-1 as being priced at RM679. Here, the company only lists its availability as January 2025, but Amanz cites a company rep who says that it will specifically be available on 15 January, as well as in three physical stores – Lalaport KL, Sunway Pyramid and IOI City Mall Putrajaya.
