Earlier this week, ASUS unveiled the ROG Phone 9 series, its new flagship smartphone lineup. Now, the company has confirmed on social media that the phones will be coming to Malaysia on 10 December 2024, making it the second flagship series from the brand to launch here this year.

The lineup is made up of three models, namely the vanilla model as well as the Pro and Pro Edition — the latter two are the same device, with the only differences being the RAM and storage configurations as well as the accessories that come in the box. The entire series sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LTPO AMOLED display with 185Hz refresh rate, a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits, and an HDR peak brightness of 2,500 nits.

For imaging, the lineup features the same 50MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front snapper, but only the Pro models come with a 32MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, while the vanilla ROG Phone 9 gets a 5MP macro lens. Under the hood, the series runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and protection-wise, they are equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

All three phones are powered by a 5,800mAh battery with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. On the connectivity side, they support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Additionally, the ROG Phone 9 series is fitted with an under-display fingerprint scanner along with pressure-sensitive gaming triggers.
