Home appliances can be expensive to buy so some may appreciate the option to rent them or pay for them via installments instead. Which is probably where LG Rent-Up, the company’s home appliance rental service comes in. Though in practice, it’s probably more of an installment payment plan.

As the company announced, LG Rent-Up allows for the renting of home appliances from nine product lines. The list includes air and water purifiers, as well as air conditioners, washing machines, fridges and TVs. Despite the product range available though, the rental window is only between five and seven years.

Beyond the benefit of not paying a hefty chunk of cash up front, LG Rent-Up also provides free delivery and installations. There’s also the usual warranty period throughout the rental period. By the end of the rental period, you’ll also get to keep the appliance you’ve been renting.

Naturally, you’ll be paying more for the same product in the long run, but the amount differs from one product to another. Also, the company mentioned that the number of appliances that can be rented at a time is determined by the renting individual’s credit score, but understandably no specifics were shared on that front. In the meantime, you can monitor the status of rented appliances via the ThinQ app. You can find out more about what LG Rent-Up entails, as well as what you can actually rent, by visiting the official site linked here.
