Acer has showcased the Predator Helios 16 and 18 a couple of times up to this point, but there hasn’t been any local pricing and availability details. Until today, that is, as the company has finally announced their local availability.
One of the more confusing aspects of the Predator Helios 16 and 18 were its swappable keys for its WASD keys. This is especially for the MagClick keys were marketed as mimicking the clicky feedback of such mechanical switches, The brand has since confirmed that all the magic happens within the keys themselves, and the switches are the standard laptop fair.
Beyond that, you may already be familiar with the specs of the Predator Helios 16 and 18 gaming laptops. But it you’re not, these come with these are laptops with 16:10 screens featuring processors up to an Intel Core i9-14900HX, and graphics up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090.
For the specific options available in Malaysia, the Predator Helios 16 has three. The first comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, and is priced at RM10,999. The second variant bumps this up to an RTX 4080, with a similar price bump up to RM12,999.
The third variant, maintains the RTX 4080 GPU, but pushes the 240Hz refresh rate on the other models up to 250Hz. This leads to an asking price of RM14,999. Pick any of these three up before 7 March and you’ll get a RM1,000 discount as well as a Predator backpack thrown in as a bonus.
As for the Predator Helios 18, this starts with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with a screen refresh rate of 240Hz, and a price of RM13,999. Opt for the version with an RTX 4090 with a screen refresh rate of 250Hz, and the price goes up to RM18,999. As before, get it before 7 march and you’ll also get a RM1,000 discount. No additional freebies here though.
