Following the announcement of AirAsia MOVE – which is supposed to be the new identity of the airasia Superapp – last year, said app is getting a new feature specifically for event-goers. Alongside global ticket distribution platform Coras, the company has announced MOVETIX.
As the collaboration partner implies, the MOVETIX platform on AirAsia MOVE gives access to over 10,000 “global events and activities”. These are then complemented by tickets for flights, hotels and rides which are already existing features of the app.
Making use of the feature is as straightforward as it is familiar. Those familiar with the app will see that the “Events & Activities” button has been renamed to MOVETIX. If you have experience with this, then you may see offerings that were not here before.
On that note, MOVETIX has also been selected as the official picketing partner for the upcoming StarHub Football Festival in Singapore. This is happening on the 20 and 21 of April, and you can get prices to the event that, according to AirAsia, are exclusive to the rebranded feature. Though these are limited from between 30 January to 5 February.
Also, if you’re wondering why the app is still called the airasia Superapp rather than the new AirAsia MOVE name, the announcement notes that this will be happening “soon”. No dates were provided, though.
