Infinix today has introduced “enhanced” versions of its Hot 30 series, which are available now in Malaysia. Both devices, namely the standard Hot 30 and the Hot 30i, now feature updated hardware but are still offered at the same price points as initially launched back in April of last year.

The upgrades offered on the Infinix Hot 30i are the more significant of the two, as the 2024 version comes with a newer chipset, more RAM and an improved primary camera. To be more specific, the phone now features a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset to replace the Unisoc T606 from the original, an 8GB RAM bump, and a new 50MP main shooter alongside the existing AI-enhanced auxiliary camera on its back.

The rest of its specifications remains unchanged, where retained is the 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 500 nit peak brightness, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Under the hood is the same 128GB storage capacity, as well as the 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support via USB-C.

Meanwhile, the upgraded vanilla Hot 30 only gets double storage capacity than the original, now with a total of 256GB. Other specifications are the same, namely the 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 580 nits peak brightness, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, 50MP primary camera with AI auxiliary lens, and an 8MP selfie shooter. On the inside is a MediaTek Helio G88 with 8GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W USB-C fast charging.

Despite the upgrades, Infinix retains the same pricing for both smartphones. The Hot 30 is still priced at RM599, while the Hot 30i is at RM399. The company adds that it is currently offering the former at a special promotional price of RM499 for a limited time. Those interested can purchase the phones via official Infinix authorised online stores including Lazada, Shopee and TikTok shop.
