The state elections for Selangor, Kelantan, Terenganu, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Penang are coming up this Saturday. With that in mind, many would have arranged for transport back to their home states to cast their votes this weekend. For those in Peninsula Malaysia who have not, SOCAR is offering to be an alternative, alongside car sharing platform TREVO.
Starting with the former, SOCAR has two codes for users. One is JOMUNDI, which will get users 40% off if they book a car for at least two days. Alternatively, there’s the code AUGUST2H which you can use for bookings of at least six hours, with the code waiving the cost of two of those six hours. Both of these codes are valid for bookings placed before 15 August, as long as the driving period also falls before the mentioned date.
For the TREVO promo codes, the first is VOTEPRN25. Using this code will result in a 25% discount, but it is only valid when your ride costs RM200 or more. The discount itself is also capped at RM80. Another code that is available is VOTEPRN120, which instead gives you a flat RM120 discount, but only if your ride costs RM400 or above. These codes are valid for bookings from now until 17 August, and for rides up until 21 August.
If you are unfamiliar, TREVO is operated by Future Mobility Solutions, which is a SOCAR Malaysia subsidiary. While the latter operates its own fleet of vehicles, the former revolves around vehicles rented out by other users.
