BMW Malaysia has announced the new i4 eDrive35 range of electric vehicles, which comes in two variants. There’s naturally the base model, with the other bearing the M Sport designation. Being part of the broader i4 series, you can expect to see some similarities with the eDrive40 M Sport that was announced last year.
Going over what the cars have to offer, the company says that the electric motor in the BMW i4 eDrive35 can deliver 210 kW (286 hp) and 400nm of torque to the rear wheels. This gives it a 0-100 time of six seconds. No top speed was provided, though it is likely that it is also electronically limited to 190 km/h. For the battery within the BMW i4 eDrive35, it is rated at 70.3 kWh, which gives the car up to 483km of range. Charging rates for DC and AC charging are at 180 kW and 11 kW, respectively.
Highlighting the aforementioned similarities with the eDrive40, the BMW i4 eDrive35 measures in at 4,783mm in length, 1,852mm in width, and 1,448mm in height. Which is exactly the same as the aforementioned model. In the same vein, luggage space capacity also maxes out at 1,290l. On the inside, you’ll find the familiar iDrive infotainment system with a curved display to go with it. The M Sport variant naturally gets the Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite M interior trim
The BMW i4 eDrive35 is available at a price of RM258,21o (OTR, without insurance), while the M Sport variant commands a price of RM284,210. Alternatively, the options for monthly installment plans starts from RM3,358 for the base model, or RM3,657 for the M Sport variant (based on a 5-year Easy Drive plan with a mileage of 100,000 km at 80% loan amount).
