AirAsia Ride has announced a new feature that lets its users pre-book their e-hailing service for when they travel to another country. Aside from Kuala Lumpur, the pre-booking feature is also launching in Bangkok, Thailand, and Bali, Indonesia.

The feature allows users to pre-book an airport ride as early as three days before their trip and as late as four hours in advance before departing to their destination in another country. At launch, the feature can only be used at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2, Don Mueang International Airport in Thailand, and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia.

To use it, open up the AirAsia super app and go to the ride section. From there, you can change which country to book for, choose the destination you wish to get to from the airport and schedule the time and date, as well as your preferred payment method.

In conjunction with the launch of the pre-book feature, AirAsia is giving out promos for all users to use for their airport trips in the three countries involved with the rollout. The promo code FLYRIDE5 gives users RM5 off to and from any airport in Malaysia using AirAsia Ride.

Additionally, BALIRIDE offers IDR20,000 off of rides to and from Denpasar International Airport in Bali. Last but not least, AIRPORT50 provides a THB50 discount on rides to and from Don Mueang International Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport with a minimum spend of THB180.

The company said that it wants to continue to grow its airport ride service so there is a possibility that pre-booking could be made available in other markets in the future. It has intentions to launch AirAsia Ride in Singapore in June, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if this feature is introduced there. As an aside, those travelling to Bangkok can try out AirAsia’s new queueing service that lets you skip the line at popular restaurants.
