NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Ti Rumoured To Have 18176 CUDA Cores, 24Gbps Memory

An update to the previous leak of the alleged RTX 4090 Ti.

During the weekend, we reported on the leaked images of what appeared to be a dissection of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, a 4-slot 800W GPU otherwise known as “The Beast”. Now, a more recent rumour is shedding some light on what the card could actually ship out with.

The rumour comes by way of reliable and prominent leakster kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi), who initially tweeted about the alleged specifications of the RTX 4090 Ti back in July last year. This time, they seem a little more confident of the specifications of the GPU.

From their tweet, the GPU will now be based on either a PG136 or PG139-SKU310 GPU. This is a rather important detail to note, seeing how earlier rumours suggested that it would be a PG137-SK0. Another change in the GPU’s specifications also indicates that it will have a total board power of 600W. It’s unclear if this is the TDP, TGP, or just max board power. In the spirit of playing it safe though, this could just be the second option, especially when you consider the RTX 4090’s 450W TGP.

The RTX 4090 Ti’s latest specs also indicate that the GPU will be equipped with 24GB GDDR6X graphics memory, which is half of the original 48GB that was rumoured. In order to compensate for the cutdown, though, NVIDIA may simply tweak said memory to run at speeds of 24Gbps. Other specifications of the RTX 4090 Ti seemingly remain the same; it’s still set to have 18176 CUDA cores and a 96MB L2 Cache.

It should be mentioned that this post by kopite is still just a rumours, so nothing is set in stone as of yet. Therefore, it is important that this report be taken with a liberal sprinkling of sodium. Who knows, maybe NVIDIA will pull back the veil on the alleged RTX 4090 Ti during its GTC Keynote, which is set to kick in March.
