The world’s biggest sporting event, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, is about to commence in less than two weeks. In conjunction with its arrival and as part of its #SebolaSuara campaign, Maxis is offering one million live match passes for free to all of its customers starting 20 November until 18 December.

This promotion is applicable to Maxis Postpaid and Home Fibre, as well as Hotlink Postpaid and Prepaid customers. The free pass is available on a first-come-first-served basis, and is valid for only one live match of the customer’s choice. Users can redeem it by looking out for a unique code that’s generated daily on both Maxis and Hotlink mobile apps.

Maxis says each pass also comes with extra 1GB high speed data, allowing for the best viewing experience for the selected live match. In addition, both Maxis Postpaid and Hotlink customers can also get a free 10 GB Mobile Internet Pass to use on the Sooka streaming service for 30 days after redemption.

According to the telco, the free live World Cup Qatar 2022 match is exclusively available to users via the sooka streaming service, which is available on a wide range of smartphone and home devices. Do keep in mind that the free pass, once redeemed, is applicable to only one match from the tournament’s upcoming 64 matches, so you may want to use it for an interesting match featuring your favourite team, or maybe save it for the finals.

Quarter-finals are scheduled to commence next month on 9 December 2022, semi-finals on 14 December, third place play-off on 17 December, and the finals on 18 December.
