Earlier this week during Intel’s Innovation Day 2022, the chipmaker finally locked in 12 October as the official launch date for its top-tier ARC Alchemist GPU, the A770. As it turns out, it’s second most powerful GPU, the A750, now shares the same release date.

Intel made the announcement across several social media platforms, including Twitter. In addition to the launch date of the A750, it also announced the desktop graphics card’s starting retail price of US$289 (~RM1340).

You asked, and we’re here to confirm.

The #IntelArc A750 GPU starts at $289 and is also available starting Oct 12!

It’s time we bring balance back to the market with GPUs that offer great performance at the right price. https://t.co/VwB1tAHgWZ pic.twitter.com/1U4vF2OEjh

Intel has made it clear via its official announcement page that the A750 and A770 were designed and built to trade blows with NVIDIA’s Ampere generation GeForce RTX 3060 graphics, especially in the realm of ray-tracing. Not only that, it also wants to “crush” it in the area of price-to-performance, whereby its cards would retail for considerably less than what both its rivals from the green and red team currently offer. Although, this remains to be seen, at least until we can verify this claim for ourselves.

That comparison between the A750 and RTX 3060, by the way, was carried out on an identical testbed, using a Core i9-12900K, ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard, 32GB DDR5-5600 Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM, and a Corsair MP600 Pro XT 4TB PCIe Gen4 SSD.

Specs-wise, the A750 comes in a single 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory configuration and a 512Gbps memory bandwidth. Other details include 28 Xe-Cores, 28 ray-tracing units, 448 XMX Engines, and a boost clock of 2050MHz. Like the A770, it is also based on the same ACM-G10 GPU and a 225W TDP. Oh, and like the other ARC desktop GPUs in its lineup, it also supports features like Intel’s own AI upscaling technology, XeSS, and even the open-source AV1 encoding acceleration technology.

As for the A750’s games list, Intel says that the card will be able to run the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare II reboot, as well as other titles such as Gotham Knights, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and the Settlers.
