The debut of the Reno6 and Reno6 Z earlier this month has marked the beginning of a new chapter for the OPPO Reno Series in Malaysia. As it turns out, OPPO is not yet done though as the company today has unveiled yet another model in the family, the Reno6 Pro.

Despite its name, don’t confuse the Malaysian variant of Reno6 Pro with the model released in China and India. This is because the Reno6 Pro in those countries are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor while Malaysia’s Reno6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 instead.

In fact, this variant is known as the Reno6 Pro+ in China while the non-Plus version of the Reno6 Pro was launched in Malaysia as the Reno6 Z. One of the easiest way to differentiate them apart is their camera module as there are four rear cameras in Malaysia’s Reno6 Pro/China’s Reno6 Pro+ while the Reno 6 Z/China’s Reno6 Pro comes with three rear cameras instead.

Speaking about the camera, the Reno6 Pro’s main camera is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor while it is also accompanied by a 13MP telephoto, 16MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras. Completing its photography setup is a 32MP selfie camera nested within the top left corner of the phone’s 6.5-inch Full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen.

Completing the 5G phone’s general specifications is a 4500mAh two-cell battery which supports the company proprietary SuperVOOC 2.0 technology. This particular feature allows Reno6 Pro to be fully charged in 31 minutes via the tech’s 65W charger.

Comes standard with 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, the new Reno6 Pro is now readily available for pre-order through OPPO’s official store in Lazada as well as OPPO Stores and OPPO Brand Stores throughout Malaysia for RM2,999. Valid until 23 August, pre-order customers will be provided with Enco Air earbuds, a Marshall backpack, and a Mighty Mug as well as a one-year subscription to 1TB Hey Tap Cloud Storage and OPPO Care’s screen damage protection.
