Alongside the new MatePad 11, Huawei has also added new options for several MateBook models in Malaysia. Among them is the MateBook D 15 which is now being offered with 8GB of RAM.

When it was introduced into Malaysia back in April, the laptop was initially available with 16GB of RAM although Huawei has still retained the 512GB solid state drive for the newly introduced variant with the 8GB memory. This also goes for their processors as the 10th Edition still carries Intel Core i5-10210U while the 11th Edition is equipped with the newer Intel Core i5-1135G7.

Naturally, this means that the new variants are priced much lower than their 16GB counterparts. The MateBook D 15 10th Edition 2021 with 8GB of RAM is now available for pre-order at RM 2,999 as opposed to RM 3,299 for the 16GB model while the 11th Edition goes for RM 3,699 which is RM 200 cheaper than the 16GB variant.

Meanwhile, Huawei has also launched the Intel Core i3 option for the MateBook D 14 although the new chip is still a 10th Gen Intel Core processor. Mirroring the MateBook D 15 i3 2021 that was released last month, the Core i3 variant of MateBook D 14 also comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD alongside its Core i3-10110U processor.

Pricewise, the MateBook D 14 i3 2021 goes for RM2,699 although as part of its launch release, the laptop is currently available for pre-order at RM2,299. As a comparison, its Core i5 twin was priced at RM3,499 while the MateBook D 15 i3 2021 launch price tag was RM2,599.

Another model in the list that has been provided with a new variant by Huawei is the MateBook 14. Instead of Intel Core chip, the new option offers AMD Ryzen instead although the company has opted for the older Ryzen 4000 Series processor in the form of Ryzen 5 4600H.

Additionally, the new variant also comes with a lower amount of RAM at 8GB although it still has 512GB SSD just like the Intel Core model that was released back in April. Also available for pre-order immediately, the MateBook 14 R5 2021 can be obtained for RM3,899 instead of its usual price tag of RM3,999.

Given that there are so many MateBook models that we have listed above, we are not surprised if you felt a little overwhelmed by them. So, do check out Huawei Malaysia’s official online store right here for further details.
