In addition to the free 1GB Daily Data extension, The PEMULIH initiative has announced a discount of 5%-40% off of your monthly TNB bills, with the whole thing being worth RM346 million. The discounts will last for three months and will kick in starting July.
The discounts, as per the prime minister’s announcement, are as follows:
- 40% discount for usage under 200 kWh
- 15% discount for usage of 201-300 kWh
Moreover, businesses affected by the lockdown will also receive an additional three-month extension of the 10% electricity bill discount until December, worth RM1 billion. Eligible sectors include hotels, theme parks, convention centres, malls, and tourist agencies.
