It was only a few weeks ago that Huawei had unveiled these new smartwatches to the world and soon, they will be made available in Malaysia. Available for pre-order starting Saturday, 25 June, the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are the latest HarmonyOS 2-based products to be released in our market after the 2021 MatePad Pro.

Both models share a lot of characteristics together including a 1.43-inch AMOLED touch display with a resolution of 466 x 466, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor, skin temperature detector, and water resistance rating of 5ATM. There are also 30 pre-installed watch faces in them and users can also obtain new faces from Huawei Watch Face Store or create their own animated face using a video from their phone.

Other than that, these eSIM-enabled smartwatches are also able to track more than 100 sports modes alongside the usual fitness metrics such as step count, calories burned, sleep quality, and stress levels. Both Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have been equipped with fall detection capability and emergency SOS mode which would immediately alert designated contacts together with emergency services.

Naturally, there are several features within Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro that can only be used with other Huawei devices. Among them is the support for MeeTime, playlist synchronisation, and Celia while users can download apps for both watches from the on-device Huawei AppGallery marketplace.

However, both watches are built from different type of material as the Watch 3 comes with stainless steel body but the Huawei Watch 3 Pro features a titanium body instead. Additionally, the Watch 3 is equipped with a 450mAh battery as opposed to Watch 3 Pro which has a larger capacity battery at 790mAh.

Not surprisingly, this has led to the differences between their battery life as the Watch 3 can last for up to 3 days while the Watch 3 Pro can be pushed much further at up to 5 days. Of course, they are priced differently too at RM 1,699 and RM 2,199, respectively.

As mentioned earlier, the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are available for pre-order starting from 25 June until 6 July at Huawei Store Online, Lazada, Shopee, and Senheng. Early adopters will be provided with Huawei FreeBuds 3 and an extra nylon watch strap as pre-order freebies.
