Boost E-Wallet Brings Back e-Ang Pows In Time For Chinese New Year 2021

Boost is bringing back its popular e-Ang Pow feature in time for Chinese New Year this year, with the aim to help keep traditions alive despite limited physical family reunions and house hopping under an extended MCO. Then, as now, Boost is introducing a whole range of special offers and deals, including cashback, to mark this year’s festivities.

This year, Boost users will be able to choose from 6 different e-Ang Pow packet designs with the option of including a personalised greeting as well. They can send a customised e-Ang Pow to up to 10 people at any one time with equal or different amounts of money for each recipient.

You should note that only Premium Boost users can send and receive e-Ang Pows, while Basic e-wallet users can only receive them. The recipient of an e-Ang Pow must open within 12 hours of receiving it; otherwise, the e-Ang Pow value will be returned to the sender. During this particularly challenging period, Boost is also allowing Malaysians to send their e-Ang Pows as e-donations to NGOs and charities on a list provided by Boost.

When it comes to online shopping, Boost is promising users savings of up to 28% cashback, applicable for food preparations from Potboy, JOCOM, and MyCookingStory; food delivery from EASI and McDelivery; as well as home decorating, wellness and fashion from Zalora, Watsons Online and Bloomspace.co.

Additionally, gamers can enjoy cashback and additional Boost Coins when buying game credit on Google Play, Playstation and UniPin for online gaming sessions with friends and family as part of virtual CNY gatherings this year.

More details on Boost’s CNY deals can be found under the ‘Huat’s for CNY?’ tab on the app’s homepage. You can also visit their official website for more information.
