UMW Toyota and Toyota Capital Malaysia have recently locally introduced the brand‘s Kinto One car subscription service. The service was originally established by Toyota in regions such as Europe, South America and other Asian countries in 2019, which provides consumers an alternative approach to vehicle ownership.

Kinto One caters towards budget-savvy customers who wish to own and drive a vehicle without the hassle of having a conventional hire-purchase loan. Provided are vehicle subscriptions for Toyota or Lexus branded cars of up to 3 years, with usage limited to 30,000km per year. No down payment is required to start the subscription, but Stamp Duty charges apply.

Additionally, Toyota notes that the fixed monthly subscription also covers for each vehicle’s registration, annual comprehensive insurance, road tax, periodic maintenance, and preventive maintenance. It also added that the vehicle is covered under comprehensive Takaful Insurance coverage with 24-hour emergency assistance.

Once the subscription period is completed, customers are simply required to return the respective vehicles to Toyota Malaysia. It is also worth noting that should customers exceed the 30,000km usage limit within a year, they will be charged 50 sen per kilometre.

At this time, Toyota cars offered by Kinto One include the Vios, Yaris, Corolla, Innova, Fortuner and Camry. Whereas for Lexus cars, its selections include the ES250, UX200, NX300, and RX300. Both UMW Toyota and Toyota Capital Malaysia say that more vehicle choices will be added to the service’s fleet in the near future.

Kinto One is officially available to Malaysians starting today. For further information regarding the service and to fully explore its offerings, please visit its official website via the link provided below.
