You’re probably aware by now that the Epic Games Store is giving away one free game everyday until the end of the year. This is opposed to its usual promotion of one a week. Today, that free game is Tropico 5, as predicted by a previous leak.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Tropico series, it’s a construction and management simulation game by Haemimont Games. If you need an idea of what kind of game that is, picture RollerCoaster Tycoon from back in the day. It was first released back in 2014.
What makes Tropico 5 stand out is that it features cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to four players. It’s not usually something you see in such a genre, which is primarily a singleplayer affair. There’s also an Age of Empires-esque era advancement mechanic, which is carried over to the sequel of the game.
