GoCar Malaysia has announced a partnership with Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) and Flexi Parking (FP) today on 26 November 2020. According to the company, the collaboration is aimed at offering its users smart solutions for traffic and parking congestion while reducing carbon emissions.
The platform claims that recent studies have shown KL drivers spend over 50 minutes in traffic and 25 minutes looking for parking on a daily basis. GoCar believes that its car-sharing service would decrease the number of cars fighting for space on the roads, and the newly integrated SSP and FP function would further extend that to parking locations as well.

Through this collaboration, GoCar users not only are able to book their cars via the app but book and pay for SSP and FPP designated parking locations as well. The company added that users of the platform’s 24/7 One-Way Trip option are also entailed to additional drop-off locations for their GoCars.
This new feature is currently available to users in Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya for the time being. GoCar says that it is planning to make other areas available in Malaysia by the end of the year, and urges users to stay tuned for future updates.
For users in the aforementioned area, you can now access the new street parking feature in your GoCar app by booking a One-Way Trip service. From there, simply select a pickup spot and choose a drop-off point at any available location. Also, do ensure that you’re using the latest app version (v4.2 onwards) in order to enjoy this.
