AirAsia has revealed that it will be distributing RM50 e-vouchers to 24,000 domestic travellers, redeemable via its official website “very soon”. The move is in conjunction with the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia campaign organised by Tourism Malaysia, under the recently introduced Stimulus Recovery Plan by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).

According to the ministry, the campaign aims to reinvigorate the national economy through domestic tourism, which now allow Malaysians to travel within designated “green zones” in the country. In addition to this, the plan will also be supported and actively engage with various agencies and industry players, including AirAsia.

“MOTAC welcomes the government’s decision to allow domestic travel bubble between green zones in Malaysia,” said MOTAC minister YB Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri. “We hope that the rakyat will use the opportunity to travel responsibly and always adhere to the SOPs and the new norms while traveling.”

AirAsia has yet to announce when the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia RM50 e-vouchers will be made available to its customers, but promises that distribution will commence soon. The airline urged eager travellers to stay tuned to its Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts for the latest updates.
