Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 Benchmark Results Leak; Reportedly Pulls Ahead Of Kirin 9000

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 SoC is expected to be announced before the year comes to an end. Recently though, benchmarks results of the alleged chipset have leaked and compared to Huawei’s Kirin 9000 chipset.

The benchmark charts were made by Master Lu, while the original score sheets come by way of leakster Digital Chat Station, who posted them via their official Weibo account. In the same post, it is mentioned that the Snapdragon 875 runs in a 1+3+4 processor configuration, while its clockspeed is expected to be lower than the 3.09GHz of the Snapdragon 865+.

According to the charts, the Snapdragon 875 can be seen beating out the Kirin 9000’s CPU, but trails its rival ever so slightly in the GPU department. That said, the Snapdragon 875 is still shown with a higher overall score, given the lead its CPU has over the Huawei-made chipset.

This isn’t the first time Digital Chat Station has leaked details about the Snapdragon 875, Back in October, the leakster said that the SoC will be a timed exclusive for Xiaomi’s Mi 11 smartphone, which will initially be available in China. Once the exclusivity period ends, Samsung is expected to be the first non-Chinese smartphone maker to get its hands on the chipset, which will then, presumably, be used in its next flagship, the Galaxy S21.

There’s still no official word from Qualcomm about the chipset, so take this news with a grain of salt.
