The recently announced Garmin Venu SQ smartwatches is now available in Malaysia, according to the company’s local social media channels. The new series comprises two models, the standard SQ variant and the Venu SQ Music.
To recap, both SQ models sport a square-shaped 1.3-inch full colour LCD touchscreen, is measured at 40.6 x 37 x 11.5mm, and is waterproof rated up to 5ATM. Garmin claims that both models can last up to six days in smartwatch mode and up to 14 hours in GPS mode. Unlike the standard model, the Venu SQ Music includes built-in storage that allows for up to 500 songs to be stored and also connectivity support for Bluetooth-enabled audio devices.
As with most smartwatches in the market, the Venu SQ and Venu SQ Music packs a variety of features such as notifications, call and messaging management, and NFC payment via Garmin Pay. Health and sports related features include heart rate and blood oxygen tracking, but lacks sensors such as a barometer or gyro.
Both watches are available for sale in Malaysia starting today at official Garmin stores and authorised retailers nationwide. The Venu SQ is priced at RM999, while the Venu SQ Music retails at RM1,250. For more information regarding these new devices, please refer to the links provided below.
