Back in June, we were told by Acer that the company intends to release another variant of its mainstream gaming laptop model, the Nitro 5 2020 in Malaysia. Instead of the 10th Gen Intel Core processors, the new variant is powered by an AMD Ryzen 4000 series chip.
True to its promise, the Ryzen-powered Nitro 5 2020 is now officially available in Malaysia. In addition to the Ryzen 7 7 4800H 8-core processor, the Malaysian unit is equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS 144Hz display and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM.
The new gaming laptops also comes standard with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB solid state drive alongside 4-zone RGB lighting on its keyboard. At this moment, the Malaysian variant for the Ryzen-based 2020 Nitro 5 only comes with this hardware configuration.
In conjunction with the on-going Acer Day 2020 promotion, the Nitro 5 2020 with AMD Ryzen 4000 series chip is being offered at launch for RM 3999, instead of its usual price tag of RM 4099. Customers are also eligible to redeem either Redmi Airdots Wireless Earbuds, Predator Cestus 310 Gaming Mouse, or Acer Wireless Slim Mouse and Predator Gaming Urban Backpack when they purchase the new gaming laptop.
