MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd has announced that it will be introducing a new 24-hour channel called ‘Awesome TV HD’ to its myFreeview digital TV station. The new channel will commence tomorrow via channel 112, and will feature various programmes such as ‘Riuh Famili’ and Keringat Selebriti’.
“This is our commitment to remain relevant in the national television broadcasting field,” said company CEO Mazlan Mahdi. “We are confident that Awesome TV will participate in the initiative to develop myFreeview digital TV service in the future and we hope that they will also take advantage of the services available on the myFreeview platform.”
He added that the increased number of viewership of myFreeview during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period had been encouraging for the brand. With the latest addition of Awesome TV HD, the digital TV station now has a total of 16 TV channels – eight of which are presented in high-definition format.
A DVB-T2 decoder or Integrated Digital TV (IDTV) is required for viewers if they wish to tune to the myFreeview digital TV service. For further information, do visit their official website via this link.
