The government earlier today has announced that selected areas within Selayang Baru in Gombak, Selangor have been put under lockdown through the implementation of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).  This decision was taken after the authorities considered the possibilities of infection transmissions between the Selayang Wholesale Market and Selayang Daily Market.

It was just earlier this week that areas within the vicinity of Selayang Wholesale Market was put under EMCO lockdown. The announcement by Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Ismail Sabri Yaakob during his daily briefing earlier today marked the seventh EMCO implementation since it was first imposed on two areas at Simpang Renggam in Johor last month.

Here is the list of areas that are involved in the latest EMCO lockdown implementation:

Zone A: Jalan Indah 3 and Jalan Indah 5A, Selayang Indah, Gombak.

Zone B: Jalan Indah 21, Lembah Indah, Selayang Baru, Gombak.

Zone C: Jalan Besar Selayang Baru, Jalan 1 and Jalan Indah 21, Selayang Baru. Gombak.

Zone D: Jalan 3, 5, 7 and 9, Selayang Baru, Gombak.

Zone E: Jalan 2, 4, 6 and 8, Selayang Baru, Gombak.

Zone F: Blok A, B and C, Selayang Makmur, Gombak.

During the EMCO lockdown, all the residents within these areas will be tested for COVID-19 infections. As per previous EMCO implementation, no movements will be allowed to go in or out from these areas while the authorities will also establish a medical base to assist residents over there.

Meanwhile, do stay at home as much as you and please practice good hygiene. If you need to go out, do practice social distancing as well, so that we can lessen the risk of COVID-19 infections as much as possible.
