The last time we heard from ViewQwest was back during April 2019, when the internet service provider (ISP) announced that it was revamping its fibre plans and included a Mesh Wi-Fi system. Now, in the wake of the COVID-19 and Movement Control Order (MCO), the ISP has launched a new initiative for its subscribers.
Starting from 6 April until 8 May, the company says that it will be upgrading the internet speeds of all its subscribers for a period of one month. ViewQwest customers on a 100Mbps plan will be automatically upgraded to 500Mbps plan during this special period, while customers already on the ISP’s 500Mbps will be able to enjoy all the trimmings that a 1Gbps line provides.
Here is the list of eligible areas:
ViewQwest is a company with roots in Singapore and one of the few ISPs in Malaysia that is capable of providing a full Gigabit in high-speed broadband internet. Unfortunately, its service still isn’t as widespread as its competitors, but the company is expanding its reach through its own infrastructure as well as TM’s HSBB.
