Razer has officially launched the wireless variants of its Basilisk series gaming mice. The announcement comes several months after Razer launched its Basilisk Essential gaming mouse, which is essentially another simple designed wired mouse.

Specifically, the Basilisk mice that are getting their cords cut are the X HyperSpeed and Ultimate. Starting with the Ultimate, this mouse model is the top-of-the-line model of the series, and is loaded with some of the best features Razer has to offer.

It has a true 20,000 DPI Focus+ optical sensor, 11 programmable buttons and the Razer Optical Mouse switches that are found in the Viper Ultimate. Additionally, the mouse also comes with a configurable lift-off and landing distance settings.

Moving on, the Ultimate also mounts a scroll wheel with adjustable resistance. In regards to its battery life, Razer says that the Ultimate can last up to 100 hours on a single charge. While charging of the mouse is conducted via Micro USB, which in turn can be used to transform the peripheral back into a wired mouse.

Speaking of charging, the Ultimate can also be charged with the bundled Razer Mouse Dock that you can connect to your computer in order to observe its charging status.

Like all of Razer’s products, the Ultimate also comes with Razer Chroma RGB support and can be customised via the onboard Chroma Studio program.

The X HyperSpeed is, unsurprisingly, the lesser of the two gaming mice. Unlike the Ultimate, it features a 16000 DPI 5G sensor and can be connected with either the 2.4Ghz dongle or Bluetooth at just a flick of a switch, literally. On that note, the mouse also features Razer HyperSpeed wireless technology that is only accessible via 2.4Ghz option.

The X HyperSpeed comes with the Razer Mechanical Mouse Switches that is rated at 50 million clicks and six programmable buttons. Battery-wise, the mouse can last up to 285 hours when using the 2.4GHz connection and 450 hours on Bluetooth mode.

That said, the X HyperSpeed does come with few features less than the Ultimate. Chief among which being the Chroma lighting and 11 programmable buttons.

Both the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and Basilisk X HyperSpeed are already available for purchase via Razer’s official online store. The Ultimate retails at a price of RM810, while the X HyperSpeed costs RM252.
