If you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars or Disney movies in general, you’re probably anticipating the arrival of Disney Plus — Disney’s upcoming streaming service that’s set to launch in the US this November. After all, the streaming service will contain a ridiculous amount of content that’s owned by Disney, including a complete collection of all the MCU movies and Star Wars too. This and of itself sounds like a bang for your buck, but it looks like we’ll be getting much more than that.
Currently, Disney Plus is being tested in the Netherlands and one Reddit user from that country has screenshotted the mobile interface of the streaming service. In the image, we see Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and also bonus footage from the film titled ‘Deleted Scene: A Father’s Choice.’ In his/her caption, it’s also mentioned that the streaming service also includes bloopers from the films, though that’s not seen in the screenshot.
Apart from the MCU and Star Wars films, the streaming platform will also include 3D and hand-drawn Disney animated content, Pixar movies, Disney Channel movies and a boatload of Disney Plus originals such as MCU and Star Wars series — The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, The Mandalorian, etc — Disney and Pixar animated shorts, Lizzie McGuire and so much more.
However, reports have indicated that Disney+ will not include R-rated content such as plenty of the Fox acquired films like Logan, Deadpool and the Alien franchise. Those films would most likely head to Hulu.
It’s still unclear when Disney Plus will be arriving in Malaysia, but we will likely get access to it by the end of 2020.
