Thanks to the massive push by the government, you should already be aware of the imminent arrival of 5G into Malaysia. While the wider deployment to members of the public is expected to take place only within 2021 or 2022, you can actually experience the tech right now at the Huawei 5G Experiential Zone in Kuala Lumpur.
Located at the front of Huawei Flagship Store in Pavilion KL, the showcase, which was held in cooperation with Maxis, also marked the first trial of the 5G variant for the Huawei LampSite indoor solution in Malaysia. One of the several 5G experiences that you can check out over there is the Speed Test Zone which features a Mate 20 X 5G alongside download speed of up to 1.3Gbps.
Other than that, the Huawei 5G Experiential Zone also features the Gaming Zone in which members of the public can test out 5G-powered virtual reality experience that runs directly on the cloud. Additionally, they also can learn about Huawei 5G technologies at the Education Section part of the showcase.
Members of the public are welcomed to visit Huawei 5G Experiential Zone at Pavilion KL from today onwards until 6 October 2019. So, don’t sleep on it.
